Founder: Misha Rahman and Veeraj Nilak
Over the past months of 2024 Medaid Collective, a Non-profit organization based in Mclean, Virginia, has donated more than a thousand dollars in clothing, toys, and books to the Children’s National Hospital.
They have also created sports sessions regarding safety precautions as well as injury presentations to kids in the DMV area in Virginia, to help ensure their safety.
As well as simulations so that children know how to, for example, use the correct materials in the first aid kit, how to use them properly, and their functions.
Medaid Collective has also made a tutoring program for children to learn math, science, and english, and have simulated labs, for them to understand concepts specifically in chemistry, physics, and biology.
They have reached about 100 students in both the program and the first aid/injury presentation making. Veeraj Nilak, the founder of medaid collective, says “connecting with the students and focusing on what they need really allowed me to develop a bigger platform to reach more students in the community.”
On their instagram, they post and showcase all of their events, as well as videos showing feedback from the parents who sent their students to the tutoring program
Their website showcases what they do on a broader level, as well as their leadership page, which can be reached from the link below!
